CHAPTER Thirty-Nine~Can’t Stand The Silence

Lynn laid on the bed with her eyes glaring at the ceiling, tears welled up in her eyes. Taylor must had gone back to his room and she heard the shower running, which meant Zac was home. She had woken up to see him step into the bathroom and hadn’t talked to him yet. Not wanting to, she knew it was time they figured out what was going on.

Five minutes went by until he walked out of the bathroom, hair back and new clothes hanging off his body. She sat up in bed and watched as he walked over to the window and stared out. There was so much she wanted to say.

“Hi,” that wasn’t it.

He turned around surprised she even said a word. He had grown used to the silence. As he looked her up and down with his hurt eyes she sat in a chair near him.

“Hi,” was all he said back.

She stood up and looked at him, walking near him...but not too close.

“You know what, that’s it, I’ve had it. I mean it Zac. Listen, I know your upset about your brothers, but I am too. How do you think it feels to have your best friend ditch you? I could really use your support right now and your being SO SELFISH!! All you do is leave me alone!” she yelled crying hard, “When I ask you where your going or where you were all you do is yell or scream at me! Zac all I do is love you and stand by you, but you can’t give that back! What happened, huh?”

She waited a few minutes but he just stayed silent. “Am I that bad Zac? Do you really hate me that much now? I know you care for your brothers, but none of this deals with us, you haven’t been concentrating on us! Zac look what happened! I’m not blaming just you, but you hurt me so badly! Please just talk to me, don’t run from the bad anymore, just face it Zac! Just face that your life’s a mess right now, TRY AND HELP ME FIX IT! I’m going to ask you this Zac, and I’m only going to say it once. Just say the word and I’ll go. Do you still love me?”

With that Zac stood up and ran out of the room, pushing Lynn out of his way. He never turned around, he just ran...ran from his problems like he did so many times. Lynn fell to the ground and just started sobbing...what just happened?

* * *
Taylor never took a shower yet, although it was already 10:00am. They had a week of time to relax before they headed back to the states...but it wasn’t very relaxing. He watched as his room door opened and he groaned hoping it wasn’t Ike...it was Lynn. He sighed, knowing what was going on because he heard their fight, which was nothing new.

“Come here,” he soothed.

She crawled over to him and laid in his arms for comfort.

“He’ll be back, trust me. He’s probably just upset because he knows what he did,” he sighed.

“I know, I just can’t stand the silence anymore.”

“I know, in more ways then one...”

* * *
“Y’all ready to go?” Brian yelled down the hall.

Everybody began lugging bags out to the van so they could head to the airport. Nick and I were done loading first and hopped into the back seat. I felt his arm drape over my shoulder and pull me close, it felt so good.

* * *
Isaac sat in a chair in the corner of his room. For the part few days studying the wall was what he did best. While he was busy “at the wall” he also figured out what had happened between Liz and him. He had come to the best decision possible, and that was flying out to Connecticut today. His father had said he could as long he was in New York on time. He stood up solemnly and took his bags. After saying good-bye to Taylor and Lynn he left the hotel for good.

* * *
Zac walked down an alleyway in the outskirts of the hotel. He was so depressed. The past few days and nights he had been staying at different hotels and just not going home. It wasn’t that he was sick of Lynn, it was that his life was a pretty much falling apart. Hanson was still huge, but he wasn’t. His brothers just made him so depressed, he wanted to explain it to Lynn but he didn’t know now. Plus, that option was probably over since Lynn had probably given up on him. But he had to try he had to worry about his life, no one else’s. He was going to go fix it.

* * *
I couldn’t believe the treatment the boys got. We had our own small plane to take back to the states. I sat with Nick, Leigh-Anne and Brian were across from us and the others behind us.

“Hey Nick, are you dropping me off at the airport in Connecticut before you guys head home?” I asked wishing he wasn’t going home.

“Yeah, we’re going to stop at the Connecticut airport and we’ll stay there for like a half an hour and then go home,” he sighed.

“I don’t want you to go home,” I blurted out strongly.

He just looked at me, he couldn’t believe I said that so loudly and bluntly.

“Nick you guys have a break can’t you come home with me for a little? I love you Nick, I don’t want to leave you. Please, I just got you and I can’t let you go. I want my parents to see us, meet you. Then we can be together for a little, just a few more days, please,” I begged.

He smiled widely and pulled me close. I got up and sat on his lap lying my head on his shoulder.

“I thought you’d never ask. I just want to be with you. I’ll stay with you and then maybe we can talk your mom into letting you come home with me to meet my family.”

“I’d love that,” I grinned, “I’d like to meet the mother and father who made such an amazing son.”

He just smiled.

* * *
Leigh-Anne looked at Brian and smiled.

“I remember when I first met your family. I remember when we were like that,” she smiled.

“We still are baby. After three years we still are, I love you Leigh,” he grinned kissing her deeply.

“I love you too Bri.”

* * *
Zac walked into the hotel room and saw Lynn just sitting down in a chair looking out the window, as he did before. He walked over and put his hand on her shoulder. She stood up and walked to the other side of the room.

“Don’t touch me or talk to me,” she said stingily.

“Lynn please I want to explain...”

“No, NO! OK, just don’t, you don’t love me and you obviously don’t care about us!” she yelled.

“That’s so not true Lynn. I left before because you made me realize how much of an ass I was being, I was embarrassed. I had to leave, please let me talk,” he begged with tears in his eyes.

She saw the pain he was in, and realized how much she loved him, she had to let him talk.

“Fine,” she said sitting back down.

“Lynn the past few days I have been staying at other hotels to get out of this one. It’s not because of you or us, but my brothers. How do you think it feels to be in this huge pop group with thousands of girls loving you, but inside your life’s hell. I’m scared Lynn, so scared. My brothers lives are shit and I don’t want to end up like them. It’s like if I get out of here then maybe it won’t rub off, ya know? And I have my parents who just don’t care about us anymore. They just gave up on us, fed us to fame and now are concentrating on my other brothers and sisters,” he cried.

She wanted to hit herself hard. She never thought that this is what was hurting him. She just got up and held him tight.

“I’ll never let you or us end up like they did. I promise, although the meaning of that word has pretty much diminished,” she cried softly.

They held each other tight and kissed over and over.

“I’m never leaving you ever again,” he smiled.

“And I’ll never leave you,” she smiled back.

“Now come on, I have to bring you up to date about what’s been going on,” she sighed.

* * *
Isaac had gotten the soonest flight he could to Connecticut. He sat on the plane wondering what was going to happen when he told Liz what he wanted to tell her. This wasn’t going to be easy, on either of them.

“We’ll just have to see what happens,” he sighed deeply.

* * *
The plane landed at the Connecticut airport around 7:00pm and we all got off. The boys and Leigh-Anne decided to come meet my parents. As I walked out of the plane and into the airport I held Nick’s hand in anticipation. No matter what anyone said I was excited to see my parents, nervous too. The airport was practically deserted, all the fans were most likely at the Florida airport. Plus, it was a Tuesday night in a Connecticut airport, it was always deserted anyway. This was a good thing.

I saw my parents sitting and talking but the concession stands and I grinned widely.

“That’s them!” I smiled to Nick and the others.

I let go of Nick’s hand and ran as fast as I could in their direction. Nick and the others just laughed.

“Mom! Dad!” I yelled.

“Oh my goodness! Bre, honey! Baby how are you?!” my mom asked placing her hands on my face and then my shoulders. Her and I began to cry hard.

“Look at you, just look at you!” she smiled.

My dad cut in and held me tight, “It’s so good to see you peanut.”

“You too daddy!”

I just looked at the both of them as they fussed over me.

“Mom, look at you! Your stomachs getting so round and big!” I laughed.

“I know now everyone can tell,” she smiled.

I turned and saw the group walking up to us and I smiled again. I grabbed Nick’s hand and dragged him faster over to my parents, he just laughed.

“Mom, dad, this is my Nick,” I grinned holding him tight.

My mom just laughed lightly at the sight of us, he was a good five inches taller then me.

“Hi Mr. and Mrs. Bodie,” he greeted shaking their hands.

The others guys watched as Nick tried to stay calm, but laughed to each other at their little Nicky having to introduce himself to “the parents”.

My mother pulled him into a hug, “Call me Sharon, and thank you again for the phone call.”

“No problem,” he smiled.

“It’s nice to finally meet you,” my father stated.

“You too sir, Bre talks about you two a lot,” Nick smiled.

“Well she talks about you all more.”

“Mom, Dad, this is Brian, his girlfriend Leigh-Anne, AJ, Howie and Kevin. These are the people I have been spending most of my time with lately,” I smiled.

They all shook hands and my mother gave them all hugs. She really enjoyed their attitudes, especially Brian’s...I wasn’t surprised.

“Now mom, I told Nick that he could stay with us for a few days. The other guys just came to say ‘hi’ because their flying back home to Florida right now. But can Nick stay please?” I asked.

“I would love if he did,” my mom smiled.

She was being so nice about the whole thing, I knew she liked him for me.

“Thanks,” I said hugging her.

The others said good-bye to Nick and I and hurried back to the plane. I knew that they all wanted to get home and see their families. I couldn’t blame them.

“Now come on you two, let’s head home,” my dad smiled.

* * *
Isaac watched as the familiar family walked away.

“She is with Nick...” he said softly to himself, “I didn’t even know if Taylor was right, but he is, look at how she is all over him. My God...”

Isaac tried to shake the image out of his head as he got in his cab.

“Where to sir?”

“Fairfield please, any hotel that has vacancy.” He knew it was late, it was already 8:00pm and he was tired, and hungry. But he would worry about Liz and his stomach tomorrow...for now he was going to get some sleep.

* * *
We pulled up to my house and Nick smiled, “It’s so nice and out of the way...quiet.”

“Yeah it really is,” I grinned.

We took our stuff and walked up the steps. My dad unlocked the door and let us in, it smelt the same, looked the same...everything was perfect.

“Well, you guys can put your stuff down in Bre’s room and then Bre you can help me make dinner. Nick and your dad can talk for a little,” she smiled.

“OK,” I said wearily, my mom was not herself.

Nick followed me into my room. When I closed the door and turned on the light he burst out laughing. I had forgotten about my posters.

“Like Hanson much?” he laughed.

“Shut up I haven’t really been here much,” I laughed back, “I think I need to get some pictures of you up though.”

“Why bother? You have the real thing right here,” he grinned.

He pulled me in close and I wrapped my arms around his neck as we kissed. I didn’t want to pull my mouth away from his, I just ran my hands through his hard and then put them on his shoulders.

“We better stop,” I sighed.

“Yeah.”

I quickly showed him the other rooms and then we walked back into the kitchen. I motioned for him to talk with my dad and he smiled walking away.

“Now mom, what’s up? What’s wrong with Nick?” I asked.

“Nothing Bre. I’m so happy for you. I’m not doing this as a cover up or anything. I really like Nick. Unlike Taylor he showed me that he saw something in you that he couldn’t give up on. He’s more mature and smarter about things. There’s something about him that I just wasn’t seeing in Taylor,” my mother smiled.

“You know what’s funny, this is the first thing I have to agree with you with in a long time,” I laughed, “I see that same thing. It’s like he’s bringing me closer to you and dad, it’s like he’s making me realize all these things. I really think he and I were meant to be, like fate, you know?”

“Yes,” she put her arms around me and kissed my head, “I’m proud of you.”

“Well, I’m proud of you,” I said helping her put the food on the table, “For carrying this baby.”

* * *
“So Nick how old are you again?” my father asked.

“I’m 17 sir,” he answered smiling.

He didn’t necessarily LIKE having to talk to Bre’s dad about his life, but he knew that it was best.

“Please, call me Bill,” my father said shaking Nick’s hand. Nick shook his head in agreement.

“So do you still live with your folks?”

“Well my brother Aaron and my sister Leslie are in the business as well and I have other siblings. So my parents definitely have their hands full. Right now I live in an apartment with all the fellas in Florida. But fans have been catching on and we have to move ASAP so we are all house hunting in Florida. I want to move to Ruskin. Hopefully fans won’t catch on though,” he laughed.

“Yeah, you guys are huge right now. Every time I turn on the TV there you are. What is the group up to right now?”

“Well we just got done with our world tour, or our latest world tour, I should say. We’re playing one more concert in Florida, like a homecoming event. Then after that we get a long awaited break and time to record the next album. We have been recording bits and pieces but we’ll finish it up within our break. We have had a lot of problems this past year, so we need time to set our lives straight.”

“That’s very smart of you all to do. So how long are you staying with us?”

“Well Bre seems to want me to stay for a very long time,” he laughed, “But only a couple of days. Then I have to head home to see my family.”

“Yes. What about school?”

“I’m almost done. I will be turning eighteen in January so I should be done by then. If I was in real high school I would probably be close to the end of my senior year. I think that education’s VERY important, I would never give it up.”

My dad smiled.

* * *
We all had fun talking about what Nick and I had been up to during dinner. We helped my parents clean up and my mom had thanked Nick over and over.

“I’d offer you the guest room Nick sweetie, but we have all this junk from our house in Tulsa in there. So I’ll make you a nice bed on the couch in the living room,” my mom smiled patting him on the shoulder, “You kids can go change and then head to bed because I’m sure your beat from all the traveling.”

I just rolled my eyes, “Thanks mom.”

Nick had grabbed his clothes and changed in the bathroom. Once I changed I pulled him into my room. He sat down on my bed and I sat in his lap facing him.

“You know it’s not that they don’t trust you. They don’t trust me, because I’m known for my sexual outbursts,” I laughed rolling my eyes.

“You? I would have never known,” he said sarcastically looking at how I was straddling him.

I looked at him and then pulled his face into mine has began kissing him hard.

“Your worse then I am,” I fought smiling seductively.

“I don’t think so babes, your a bad girl,” he grinned evily, “And I like it.”

He grabbed me and pulled me closer to him. Bending down he kissed me and ran his hands down my back and thighs.

“If you want it to be good boy, get yourself a bad girl,” I laughed between kisses.

“No see when I sing that song, I mean it. I’m a bad boy and you need me, cause’ if you need to get it done, you gotta get the one,” he smiled.

“Then I better go call AJ,” I smiled biting my lower lip.

He grabbed my waist and laid me on my bed and got on top of me.

“Now who are you going to call?” he asked practically sticking his tongue in my mouth.

“You,” I smiled kissing him again.

My mom knocked on my door and Nick quickly got off me and we opened the door. “Your beds ready Nick,” she smiled.

He hugged and kissed me sweetly once last time, “G’night, I love you.”

“Night, I love you too.”

* * *
I had been lying in my bed for over an hour and I couldn’t sleep knowing that Nick was in the other room. I wanted to be with him. I knew my parents were sleeping so I decided to go. I got out of bed and opened my door, their room door was closed.

“Good,” I smiled.

I checked the clock and it was 1:00am, my dad wouldn’t get up until 5:00am so I had plenty of time. When I walked into the living room he was sleeping soundly on the couch.

“Figures, he could sleep through a freakin’ war,” I laughed.

I quietly walked over to him and decided how I wanted to wake him up. Suddenly I grinned, if he thought I was a bad girl then he was going to get it. I knelt down beside the couch and gently got closer. I placed my wet lips on his neck and began kissing him hard. I had to stop when he moaned in pleasure and said my name without opening his eyes, I just giggled. When he did open his eyes, he smiled and looked at me.

“I’m tellin’ your mommy,” he said softly.

“Then I’ll just have to tell yours,” I smiled.

He smiled back as he sat up and had me lay down on the couch, he got on top of me.

“You know we can’t do this, it’s one in the morning and your parents could come in any time, it is the living room,” he stated raising his eyebrows.

“We have four hours, I checked,” I grinned, “Plus, it’s more fun and exciting this way, more romantic in a sense. You have to admit you have wanted this for months and so have I,” I said as I began to kiss his neck again.

“We don’t have any protection,” he said into my shoulder.

“We don’t have to have sex, we can just have a little fun,” I said out of breath, “Now just shut up and give in Nick,” I laughed.

He grinned and shook his head yes. He took my hand and pointed to the floor. I nodded yes and he took his pillows and blanket and laid them on the floor. I watched as he gently laid me down and gently crawled on top of me. His lips met mine and I could feel the heat in his mouth. His kisses moved to my ear and then he began to nibble on my neck. I tried to kiss him wherever I could. My hands went underneath his shirt and lifted it up.

He rolled off me so I could get on top of him and take control. I lifted off his shirt and smiled. All the guys made fun of him for not having a six pack, or very many muscles, but I loved the way he looked. I kissed him sloppily down his chest with my tongue to the rim of his boxers. I heard his breath get quicker and heavy moans when I put my hands inside his boxers and rubbed him hard. I saw his cheeks turn red and knew what was about to happen.

When I was done he got back on top of me and quickly through my shirt off, still fully into it. He used his tongue to place trails around my chest and blew lightly. He used his fingertips to lightly touch my body and I moaned into his shoulder. He slid off my flannel pants and moved his hands into my inner thighs and then some. His hands were magic.

“I love you,” I sighed in what breath I had left.

“I love you too,” he said as his voice went up.

* * *
We laid near each other breathing hard and back in our clothes.

“Your beautiful, did you know that?” he asked.

I wiped away the sweat off of his forehead and kissed him.

“Now I do. Your good at that, did you know that?” I asked smiling.

“Now I do,” he mimicked, “Don’t doubt yourself either, cause’ now I know why your mom didn’t trust you. You are a very bad girl, my bad girl,” he laughed.

“Baby you haven’t seen nothin’ yet,” I laughed.

He just shook his head laughing. He wrapped his arms around me tight and kissed my forehead over and over.

“I love you so much baby,” he smiled, “This night has been amazing, and we haven’t even experienced half the things I know we will together.”

“Trust me Nick, we will and I can’t wait. I was telling my mom how I saw something in you I’ve never seen in anybody else, we’re fate Nick, I know we are.”

“I love you so much I know we are too.”

I cried into his shoulder. He didn’t say anything, he knew I was just happy.

“Do you know, I’ve never seen you more happy? It makes me feel so good to know that it’s because of me too. I’m never going to let you go,” he smiled.

He carassed my back and hummed lightly into my ear. I couldn’t make out what he was humming at first, but then I realized it was, “I’ll Never Break Your Heart”.

“I’ll never break yours either. Never in a million years,” I smiled.

He just kept humming. When he realized I fell asleep he picked me up and carried me into my room.

* * *
He covered Bre up and sat for a little while, watching her body move up and down as she brethed quitely. She was so beautiful. He couldn’t believe what they just experienced, and he couldn’t believe what he did, how he touched her, where he touched her. How he kissed her or tasted her. Though he had, had sex before, with numerous girls, it wasn’t like anything he just experienced. He had never felt the way he just did. They were all models or fans, who just wanted sex. They wanted sex to say they made love with Nick Carter, not because they loved him. And that's the same reason he did it, out of depression and just to say he did. But with him and Bre it was so different, he felt love and didn't care if they had sex any time soon. They were taking things nice and slow, they never actually made love that night, but yet they made each other feel so amazing. He just couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have such an amazing girlfriend. He couldn’t wait to call Brian tomorrow and tell him what had gone on.

He kissed her nose lightly.

“I wished for you on a falling star, and here you are, my little shining angel,” he wispered smiling.
