A LITTLE GIRL

A little girl sat in her room one day, sitting in the window sill, watching the clouds, playing with her favorite doll. She had her dreams, her goals, and life ready at the age of five. She would be a singer, marry Zac Hanson, be a big star. She smiled at the thought. Her parents gave her everything...dollars and thrills, through mail, e-mail and phone. At that time of age, parents just weren't around a lot, and she thought it was normal, it was fine. She had her nanny for company, friends for laughter. Being only five she thought life was great...she didn't need anything more.

Time passed, now she was turning 14...and things had changed. Her dreams were no longer clear, the sky just didn't look as good as before, life didn't seem a reality. Her dolls broke, her goals shattered, she no longer loved Zac Hanson. The "big star" was just not her, and without her parents she didn't have everything. The money didn't matter, neither did the big house, or friends, or nanny, or anything God had given to her...nothing seemed right...

More years went by, two in fact. It was her "sweet 16" excitingly enough. More money came in the mail, and a new car came too. The party would be held at 6:45 and everyone would be accounted for. She would open gifts, and give shallow smiles. The day came, and her nanny, who gave her the company in her life opened the door and let the girl's best friend in. The best friend went up stairs, hoping to surprise her, but as she burst in she fell to her knees, seeing the girl dead on the floor. The little girl who once had dreams and everything else had taken her own life before she was 16. In only 15 more minutes, only 15 she would have been "sweet 16". Instead, in 15 minutes she would be rushed to the hospital, then brought to her grave. All this could have never happened, if she only received the one thing she always wanted, that being love.

Maybe now her parents will come home...after it being to late...
