The Ocean

The girl sits on the steps,

looking out at the sun,

and the on going water.

She looks out past the horizon,

Looking for that absolution,

that will never come.

Wiping the sand off her feet,

she stands,

proud and great,

ready to take on the world at its best.

She looks at the beach,

the water,

the crown on her head.

Looking at the deep majestic body of water,

reminds her of what she really came here for.

She pulls the mirror from her face,

sits on her bed and smiles.

Now that's real self esteem,

to know that you are as great as any ocean,

strong as the sun.

She once again looks in he mirror,

and recites,

"I'm proud to be me!"
