“Damnit!” I yelled, “Tay hurry up, wake up!! We have to get your house, the alarm clock never alarmed us!! What a piece of shit!!” I yelled throwing the clock to the ground.
“OK, OK, calm down I am getting in the shower now, see?” he laughed running into the bathroom. I smiled and went into the other bathroom with my clothes. We were suppose to be at Tay’s house by 8:00am because the plane was leaving at 10:00am. My father had bought us plane tickets right after our supper last night and we were to get on the plane by ourselves the next morning. After we had both gotten ready he helped me get my bags that I had packed to his house.
“Stop!” he yelled as we both stopped abruptly in the middle of the sidewalk.
“What?” I asked being a little scared, thinking something happened, or worse, we had forgotten something.
“This,” he said quietly as he put down his bags and took the bags out of my hands and put them on the ground. He quickly pulled me close and kissed me. Our faces fit perfectly together as he used every muscle in his mouth to make his tongue move around with mine. He pulled away and looked into my eyes. He pulled me very close and put his hands through my hair as he kissed me over and over.
“Sorry, I wasn’t going to make it, but thanks to you and those kisses my strength is redeemed,” he smiled slyly.
“Oh, I see. So if I was to do this you would be Superman, right?” I asked kissing him deeply.
“Yeah, now I have the strength of Superman see!” he laughed as he picked up all my bags and began carrying them.
“Oh yeah! What a hulk!” I laughed sarcastically rolling my eyes.
“You know I am so excited,” Tay boasted, “Because now I get to see your house, and where you lived for your whole childhood. I can also meet Lynn’s parents and she her house and hopefully meet some of your friends.”
“Well I am going to tell you right now...my house isn’t much. It isn’t a beautiful huge house with a winding staircase and marble floors,” I sighed, “But it will be great since there are no adults,” I sighed and smiled taking a few of the bags from ‘superman’.
“So it doesn’t matter. My house isn’t like that either. Bre I have a question...do you get home-schooled?” he asked.
“No. Why do you ask?” I said curiously.
“Well, shouldn’t you be in school?” he quizzed.
“No, we always have a week off in April. But as of now yes I would be missing school, if my mother wasn’t home-schooling Lynn and I now. When she came down here she decided that she would do the same thing your mom does. Plus, she talked to your mom and when we are gone with you, your mom will teach us. Plus, after last night, I think home-schooling is best. I think it will give my Mother and I more of a relationship, and a better basis to talk on.”
“And when were you going to tell me this?” he asked as we walked up the sidewalk and on the grass in his yard.
“Today, but you asked before I could tell you.”
“Well, I must say this is awesome! I mean this is so cool that you get to be home-schooled. Now we can spend more time together, I can help you study, especially health,” he said winking his eye in my direction.
“Yeah, what I Romeo!” I laughed.
“Hey, Zac, hey Lynn,” Tay said walking right by them into the kitchen as I followed.
“Hi Diana,” I smiled.
“Hi Bre, where’s your parents?” she asked looking at the door seeing if they were in the living room, which they weren’t.
“They will be here shortly,” I laughed blocking her view. She looked back down at her hefty breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes. I walked over to her and began to rub her very very big baby belly. She was do in a few months and the way she handled herself was amazing, then again, she had already given birth to six.
“Oh! It kicked!” I yelled.
“Aw, cute!” she said stuffing her mouth with more food. I stepped away and stood near Tay.
“So Jordan are you excited?” she asked Tay taking a sip of her Orange Juice.
“Mom..” he moaned.
“Taylor,” she moaned back.
“I am very siked for your information.”
“Girls, are you excited to show the boys your home-town?” she asked again not looking at us but rather her plate.
“Yeah, very much so! But the town isn’t much!” Lynn yelled from the living room trying to project her voice over the blasting TV. My parents finally arrived at 9:30am and we headed to the airport which was walking distance...if you didn’t mind walking too far. Isaac agreed to drive us in his car while everyone else took the van.
“Turn it off!! I am melting!!” Zac yelled loudly.
“As you can see Zac doesn’t like to listen to our music,” Ike sighed.
“Oh Zac. Quit it!” Tay yelled, “Just sing along.” Tay smiled. They began to sing along with us. Soon we just stopped singing and we turned off the CD. All three of them continued singing the song A capella. It was wonderful, Lynn and I just enjoyed there sultry voices as we continued traveling to the airport.
FLIGHT TO CONNECTICUT 10:00AM NOW BOARDING AT GATE 30, said a very low voice form the intercom system.
“Well I guess this is good-bye,” Diana said as she went around and gave each of us a hug.
“Bre come here for a sec,” my mom said as she motioned her finger.
“I know we started on a bad foot but I just...”
“Mom, no need to apologize, or lecture. I am sorry and I know you are. I love you. This trip will give both of us time to cool off. It’s good for the both of us,” I said giving her a quick hug.
“I love you Bre,” she smiled, “You are a very smart girl.”
“I love you to Mom,” I smiled back, “You are a very great Mother. I’ll miss you.”
“I’ll miss you to.” A tear rolled down my Mom’s face. She didn’t see me for a whole week and now she wasn’t going to see me for four days. All I could think about were the other kids though. The kids who have parents that enjoy this sort of thing. I walked back over to Diana and the rest of their family shaking the thought out of my head. As I walked over to them my parents left.
“Bye you guys, Ike said, “see ya when you get back. Oh Tay, Zac. Mercury called again last night. We will be leaving for the Europe tour soon. They said we can just relax until then. Well actually I told them we would. You guys can have more time with Lynn and Bre that way,” he smiled.
“OK great. Thanks Ike,” Tay said giving him a quick hug.
“Oh boys I’ll miss you. Have fun, don’t get into trouble,” Diana cried.
“Bye Mom,” they both said a little embarrassed.
“Tickets, please,” she said with a fake smile. We gave her our tickets. Suddenly she noticed who we were with. She instantly whispered to the women next to her that she had collected Hanson’s tickets, and that she saw they had girlfriends. It really wasn’t anything new to us.
“These are our seats,” Tay said as he looked me in the eyes.
“Can I please have the window seat? I really hate planes,” I begged.
“Sure, you can have anything you want. I would do anything to please you,” he smiled.
“Aww, so sweet,” Zac laughed,” I have to write that down.”
“Zac sit the hell down,” Tay moaned getting very annoyed at his brother.
“Fine,” he groaned as Lynn and him sat in the seats in back of ours. I began to rummage through my bag to try and find my headphones.
“Ugh,” I moaned, “I can’t find my headphones.” Tay grabbed both of my hands and laid me back on my chair. He began to sing softly in my ear. I laid my head on his shoulder and dozed off.
“We are experiencing some technical difficulties. Please put your seats in the upright position, stay seated, and keep your seat belt on for the rest of the flight. Thank you.”
“Tay help me, I hate planes, I hate them!” I began to cry. I could hear Zac trying to soothe Lynn in the back of us. When Zac and Lynn thought no one was watching they were so cute together. All I could think was that I was going to die and it was all over.
“It’s all right I’m here, nothing is going to happen. Just close your eyes and put your head down. I’ll sing to you,” he whispered. Though he said that I knew he was just as scared as I was. He began to sing ‘I Will Come To You’ because he knew I loved the song. He stroked my hair and my face trying to calm me down as much as possible.
“Bre, Baby wake up,” Tay whispered.
“Huh?”
“We’re going to land. Everything is OK. See I told you nothing was going to happen.”
“Oh OK,” I smiled, “You know I dreamt a wonderful dream Tay.”
“About what?” he asked.
“You,” I smiled again.
“I love you Bre.”
“I love you to.”
“Thanks for making me fall asleep.”
“Anytime.”
“Where to?” he asked.
“Um Fairfield Please,” I said nicely.
“Sure, hey you are Hanson right?” he asked looking at Taylor and Zac in the rearview mirror, pulling away from the airport.
“Yes,” they both said.
“Well it’s an honor,” the cab driver truthfully.
“Well thank you,” they both said hiding the laughs and smirks.
I knew that the four of us would have the best time together. This trip was going to be awesome.
