“Are you excited to meet Rosie?” Tay asked me.
“Not as excited as seeing to go out and be on the show,” I smiled kissing him.
He smiled and laughed. We both watched as Zac and Lynn played with the makeup and Liz and Ike sat together smiling and kissing.
“Hi,” she boasted as she shook all of our hands, “Now boys, greet me to these fine looking young ladies.”
“Well,” Tay began, “This is my girlfriend, Breanne.”
“And this is Elizabeth,” Ike smiled grabbing her hand.
“Finally, my love, Lynn,” Zac smiled.
“Great. It’s very nice to meet you girls, and I have a question for you.”
“Go on,” I said softly.
“We have allotted you the whole show boys, so I was wondering if you girls would like to come out and talk?” she asked, “No one has ever done this before, so I thought I might try. I can’t garunte how the reactions from the crowd might be, but if it becomes to violent you can go back stage.”
“I think I can speak for Lynn and Liz when I say, we would love to try it,” I smiled, a little scared at what I was getting myself into.
The boys had been talking on stage for a good five minutes before Rosie began talking about dating.
“OK, guys the question every girl wants to know, do you have girlfriends, or any kind of relationships?” she asked.
“Yes we all do,” Tay smiled, “You met them back stage.”
“And let me add, they were very kind and looked good,” she hunched.
Suddenly the crowd stopped screaming and let out signs of grief.
“That’s exactly what we think,” Ike smiled sitting up.
“Great, well how about after the break we bring them out?” she asked.
“Sure,” the boys answered.
An ear piercing screech came from the audience, and not a happy one at that.
After about a three minute break the cameras turned back on and Rosie began talking about us again.
“OK, well please help me in welcoming, Breanne, Elizabeth and Lynn,” Rosie said happily standing up to greet us.
We walked out and I tried not to be too upset, or act like it at least. The girls booed and I could hear screams of the words, whore, hoe, slut, bitch and asshole being yelled from the audience. As we sat down next to the boys I sucked in all my pain. I just held Tay’s hand.
“Now audience, let’s calm down a little bit,” Rosie said hesitantly, “Well hi girls, why don’t we start by going down the line and saying names and ages.”
We all kept a good composer and said our names and ages proudly.
“Great, no how did this all happen? Because the three of you were best friends before you met the boys...” she trailed off.
“So you want the huge, long story,” I laughed cutting in.
“Well sure,” she smiled.
“OK, well,” I began, “I’ll give you the condensed story. Lynn and I were on our way to Tulsa to see the guys in concert, without adults. I got sick and Tay came to my rescue,” I laughed, “We became close and then we took a trip to Connecticut, where Lynn and I lived, until we moved to Tulsa. Then Ike met Liz and that’s that.”
“Good story to tell,” she laughed, “Now music wise, how is it different being with them? Because you were all fans correct?”
“Not me,” Liz said blushing.
Suddenly the crowd of girls began cussing her out and Rosie got them to calm down.
“As I was saying, I never really was into their music, BUT I respected them as performers. I still love Ike, just because he is doing this I don’t think any differently of our relationship.”
“That’s so sweet, now what about you two?”
“Well Bre was the biggest fan, I just kinda liked them. But like Liz said, when you fall in love, you are kind of blinded of everything else. I think Bre can answer your question though.”
“Well I was a huge fan, and I mean it never really hits you that your dating ‘Taylor Hanson’ because when I am with him, he’s not in a band called Hanson, he is my boyfriend. But things like this, they make you realize that. It’s easy to be his girlfriend, it’s HARD to be a girlfriend to the business. I mean now it is REALLY hard for me to say I am a huge fan. I mean I can’t be, because I love him. But all three of us are fans because we support what they do.”
“Nicely put, so then girls what music are you into?”
“I like a lot of music but at the moment I am practically obsessed with the Backstreet Boys,” I laughed winking, hoping Nick was watching and he got my drift.
The crowd started to scream.
“I’m a huge ‘N Sync fan,” Lynn smiled as the crowd screamed again.
“As for me I don’t really know, I am into more of the indie stuff.”
“Great, so am I Liz,” she bubbled, “Now, if you can do a duet with any female artist who would it be?”
“Cher, definitely Cher. I mean I love her music and it’s like you can’t describe her, she’s amazing. Then again I can’t sing, so it’s not like I would even do a duet,” I laughed.
“I would say Jewel, I really like her music and the way she presents herself,” Liz smiled, wondering why Rosie even asked this question.
“I would have to choose Madonna, cause’ she’s Madonna. And I mean she just totally changed music and set such standards, it would be amazing,” Lynn grinned.
Rosie just shook her head agreeing and then asked us more questions. “OK, boys forgive me for asking the girls this, but we need to know, favorite Backstreet Boy and ‘N Sync member?” We all began to laugh and the boys did as well.
“For the BSB, it would definitely have to be Nick. I have met him and he’s a great guy, really nice, someone you can easily get to know...plus he’s not lacking in the looks department that’s for sure. As for ‘N Sync, I haven’t met them, but I guess Chris, cause’ he seems so out there,” I laughed, praying Nick was watching again. I missed him and really hoped he got to see me. Taylor just gave me the, ‘What did you just say?’ look and I ignored it. I knew he wouldn’t bring it up later.
“My favorite Backstreet Boy, hmm, how hard, their all so hot,” Lynn laughed and then gave Zac a ‘I love you look’,”Brian, definitely Brian, very wholesome. As for ‘N Sync, Justin.”
“OK, I feel bad answering this when my boyfriend is sitting right next to me,” Liz laughed, “But if you insist, my favorite BSB member is Kevin, and my favorite ‘N Sync member is J.C.”
“You girls have very good taste,” she laughed as we laughed with her. She asked us a few more questions about our relationships before she asked the final question.
“OK, well we have to cut to commercial and say good-bye to you girls, but before we do I have one last question. What do you think about fame and show business from what you have seen so far?”
“Well,” I began, “I mean I know that these girls hate me and probably won’t want to listen to be go on and on, but I have to say this to them. First off, please don’t hate the boys or us because we are in a relationship, or any band for that matter. It’s not worth it to be protective like that, because you can’t get anywhere with hurt. Finally, don’t model yourself after anyone in the business. It’s not worth it, never has and never will be. Show business is very hard, we are and always will be normal people. And trust me, we have seen SO many two faced people, but if you want to be in the lime light remember this, don’t ever try to change. Just don’t be pulled into that circle and change everything about yourself to fit in. To more different and un-perfect you are, the better of a person you are. I have learned that fame can make you and then WILL break you.”
“I have to TOTALLY agree with Bre,” Liz smiled.
“I think that fame is all right. I mean some aspects are like Bre said, but at the same time you can’t help but enjoy every ounce of it. Really, fame just makes you have to grow up,” Lynn smiled.
She thanked us and we thanked her as the cameras turned off and we all got off the stage. The boys had already done their two songs and we all went to change quickly. Zac changed quickly and left Ike and Tay alone in the dressing room.
“Hey Tay?” Ike asked.
“Yeah?”
“Do you think you can come on a little car ride with me? Like now?” he asked hesitantly.
“Um, sure,” Tay answered oddly.
“Great let me just tell the others,” he said running out of the room.
“Fine,” Tay sighed, “I can’t WAIT to see what this is about,” he said to himself.
Ike ran back in smiling, “OK, lets go. We can go out this door, my cars right there.”
“All right, whatever,” Tay sighed, hoping his brother would notice his lack of enthusiasm of this escapade...never happened.
Both of the boys bolted out to the back and jumped into the car so fans wouldn’t have time to get back there or see them. Ike turned the key and took off as fast as possible, they were safe.
“Now Ike, what is this all about?”
“Just chill Tay, OK? Don’t worry the place is just down this street.”
“Fine,” Tay said dryly. He REALLY didn’t know what they were doing and it was really beginning to irritate him.
Isaac pulled the car into a little mall’s parking lot.
“Um...Ike what are we doing here?” Tay asked, “No offense man, but I don't feel like shopping,” he said as they both got out of the car.
“Will you just shut up and follow me!” Ike yelled.
“Fine, jack ass,” Tay scowled.
Isaac ignored the comment and pulled open the door to the one jewelry store in the whole mall. It looked like the biggest and best one Tay had ever seen. Only the best, and most expensive for Ike,Tay sighed. He had no clue what they were doing here. Probably buying Liz another freaking necklace, like she doesn’t have enough,Tay couldn’t believe his attitude, probably because he just wanted to be home with Bre, since this was the only time he could see her and he was stuck with his idiot brother that was in love land.
“May I help you?” the sales woman asked.
“Yes,” Isaac replied, “I would like to buy a ring, an engagement ring.”
Taylor’s eyes widened and his mouth dropped, he couldn’t believe what he just heard. He and Liz had only been dating for a good 7 months at the most and they were young!
“Oh no! NOOOOO way!” Tay yelled throwing his hands to his sides walking straight out of the store.
“I’ll be right back,” Ike smiled running out after his asinine brother.
“What the hell are you thinking Ike?” Tay yelled, “Why did you bring me? So I can get in deep shit to?! Maybe I should buy a ring to! HELL, LET’S ALL GET MARRIED BEFORE WE TURN 18!” Tay yelled louder.
“What the fuck are you talking about Tay?!” he yelled back.
“UH, maybe the MEAR fact that you just asked to but an ENGAGEMENT, MEANING MARRIAGE, ring in there!!” Tay screamed, “Then there’s just that LITTLE fact that YOUR 17 AND LIZ IS 16!! Oh excuse me that’s right, you two are going to be 18 and 17 NEXT YEAR!”
“Tay just QUIT IT!” Ike yelled getting annoyed at his brother’s smart ass comments.
“Are you out of your mind? Seriously Ike, did I miss the moment when you decided to throw away your life! Do you REALLY think mom and dad are going to go for this? I mean when did you decided to throw away your brain?!”
“Honestly...no, I don't think mom and dad will like it, but I don’t give a fuck if they do. Tay this is MY life to live, OK! Elizabeth and I have gone through so much and will go through so much, and last night...” he began thinking back and calming down a bit, “Last night Tay, she said this, this big speech and it made me think, and I love her. Tay I finally realized I am with the girl of my dreams. I know most people don’t get married for years, but this just seems so right! And just because I ask her to marry me doesn’t mean we will tomorrow, I just want her to be mine. Tay that speech made me realize that I want to spend the rest of my life with her, no one else Tay...just Elizabeth. And before you say one more thing or try to talk me out of this let me just say this. For the first time in my life I know exactly what I want to do with my life, and everything involves Elizabeth. I am going to ask her to marry me, whether you, or anyone thinks it is wrong.”
Taylor just looked at Ike with the most respect he had ever had for his brother in his life. He realized that his brother was so much more grown up then he was, and he had such a grasp on life. He on the other hand didn’t, he couldn’t even honestly say that Bre was going to be the one he was going to marry, he just didn’t know...nothing made him think that yet. Ike on the other hand, he knew exactly what he was doing, and wasn’t going to let anything stop him.
“Let’s go buy that ring,” Tay smiled.
Ike hugged Tay and smiled.
“Thank you, I really need your imput and support right now.”
“No problem, and to be honest Ike, I’m glad you picked Elizabeth.”
“Me too,” Ike smiled as they both walked back in the elaborate jewelry store.
“Hey this is Nick, wanna talk?” he answered.
“Ohh, so you changed the way you answer your phone on me?” I laughed.
“Bre, oh my god, Bre! I am so glad you called! I thought I wouldn’t hear from you in forever!” he laughed happily.
“You know I couldn’t not hear your voice for that long silly. So anyway, what’s up?” I asked.
She couldn’t hear my voice for that long,he thought to himself smiling.
“Hey Nick, are you gonna answer my question, or just daydream for the entire call?” I laughed.
“Hey sorry, I was just...just...thinking about you,” he said honestly blushing on the other end, if it was one thing he couldn’t do to Bre it was lie.
“Oh, how cute! Now answer my question, what have you been up to?” I asked again.
“Well, actually I went home to visit my family for a few days, since we are leaving for Europe in two days. So I’m home right now, in the kitchen, couldn’t be more happy. I really missed my family, I knew I was SO bummed when you left, and I knew it was mostly because you left, but then when I called my mom I realized I missed home and she asked me to come visit,” he sighed.
“Nick, you don’t know how happy I am that your happy. I’m glad your home, you need to rest, or I would have made you!” I yelled laughing.
“I have some good news...” he began.
“Oh yeah? Well so do I!” I smiled.
“You first,” we said at the same time. We both just began to giggle.
“OK, well you have to watch Rosie tonight at 6:00pm when it re-runs, just watch it OK?” I asked softly, “Let’s just say yours truly is famous now!” I laughed.
“I get to see you on TV! I’m there!” he grinned. “Now my good news is, that the house we are staying at in Europe is only 15 minutes away from where you are staying.”
“Really? That is so awesome, MAYBE, I can’t garuntee but MAYBE we can meet up, OK?” I asked.
“Yeah babes, I know,” he laughed when really he wished that she could see him all the time.
“Well I have to go, cause’ Tay went out with Ike and they will be home soon so you know how it works for now,” I sighed wishing I would just tell Tay, “I will talk to you soon. I love you,” I smiled over the phone.
“I love you too,” he said hanging up, and he really meant it.
“I know you do sweetie, I know,” she sighed, wishing her son was still little Nicky, but he wasn’t.
“There’s no use,” I sighed wiping away the old tears and letting the new batch fall. I went to my room.
“Do you see anything you like?” she asked.
“Yes actually,” Isaac smiled, “That one.”
Tay just guaked at the huge ring. The ring had one big triangular diamond with two oval diamonds on both sides.
“Thats our biggest engagement ring at 10 karats,” the woman smiled noticing who he was.
“It’s beautiful and perfect for Lizzy,” he smiled fiddling with the ring in his hand.
“It our highest quality with no flaws. If want you can see for yourself,” she offered.
“No that’s fine. I was just wondering if we could engrave hearts around the band where the diamonds weren’t and dye the gold pink inside the hearts?” he asked softly.
“Yes we can, but it will cost a good penny,” she said bringing out her heavy accent.
“I don’t care I want this ring perfect, I’ll take it,” he smiled.
“All right. The ring alone costs $8,500.00 and then the engraving and dyeing is another $500.00, so your total will be, plus tax, $9,850.00.”
“That’s fine,” I said shaking his head.
Taylor could hardly believe his ears. His brother already spent $2,000.00 on the necklace he bought for Elizabeth and now this much for the ring? Well now I know where all our hard earned money is going, he laughed to himself. But if he was in Ike’s shoes he would probably be doing the same thing.
“How long will the engraving take?” Ike asked.
“For you? Give us a half an hour since we’re not busy. You can pay now and then pick up the ring.”
“Great, we have to run somewhere anyway,” he said taking out his wallet giving the woman his credit card.
All the boys were given one to carry on them, just in case. He quickly signed the bill and walked out with Taylor.
“So Ike...where are we going now?” Tay asked as they got in the car.
“Do you think the ring was nice enough? I mean I want this to be perfect,” he said ignoring Tay’s question.
“Yes, the ring is beautiful Ike, any girl, especially Liz will love it. All that will matter to her anyway is the moment, how you do it and the fact that you want to marry her,” Tay sighed, he knew all this stuff too well. “Now where are we going?”
“Well, last night while Lizzy and I were out we stopped at the Gynecologist and she got tested. I know that she said she would go with mom but so much is going on, so I went with her last night. God Tay, no wonder she needed someone to go with her. It was gross, I mean the pregnancy test was OK, I mean when they found out that we slept together almost two weeks ago they did this different test, cause it was the only way they would know. But they had to give her a physical, cause she hadn’t had one since she started having sex, and I mean thank God, they kicked me outta the room when they did. It was disgusting, they stuck this metal probe thing up her...”
“Ike SHUT UP!” Tay yelled as he laughed, “I REALLY don’t need to know this. But, you like saw them do that?” he asked curiously.
“Well a little, cause then they kicked me out. It looked like a lot of pain and it was disgusting as hell, but Liz swore it didn’t hurt a bit. It only makes me glad to be a man. Anways, I have to go get the results.”
Tay just sighed, “Sometimes I wonder what goes on in that skull of yours Ike.” Ike just laughed as they pulled up to the doctors office, “You don’t wanna know. Stay here I’ll be right out.”
“Whatever,” Tay sighed as he saw Ike walk through the doors.
“Why are Bre and I the only ones not caught up in this whole pregnancy thing? Why is nothing going wrong? I mean, not that I don’t want things to go wrong, but I am scared that some majorly wrong is happening and I don’t know about it. I mean I think that our relationship has a big problem, I just don’t know what it might be. I mean the way Bre acted when I called her when she was home...something wasn’t right. But I mean I don’t want to ask her about it, it may have just been that she was cutting herself. This is so stupid, why am I even worried,” Tay laughed.
Ike walked back out to the car and got in taking off.
“Well?” Tay asked.
“She’s not pregnant! Everything’s fine!” he beamed.
“Well that’s good, one less thing to worry about.”
“Hey Tay, dial my room number, I wanna tell Lizzy.”
Tay quickly dialed the number and gave Ike the phone.
“Hello?” Liz answered groggily.
Ike didn’t even pay attention to her voice, “Lizzy, baby it’s Ike. Guess what?”
“What?” she snapped back.
“Your not pregnant! I got the results,” he said happily.
“Great Ike, I may not have that to worry about, but I just got more bad news, so please come home, please,” she begged sighing and then hanging up the phone before he could talk.
“What’s up?” Tay asked.
“I’m not sure, let’s hurry get the ring and head home,” he sighed.
“What’s the matter?” he asked soothingly.
“My mom called Ike,” she cried.
Isaac just looked up into her eyes, scared at what she would say. “What happened?” he managed to get out.
“They found out what kind of cancer my dad has...he has brain cancer. He went into a coma about a week ago. My mom tried calling here when she found the number but you know my fucking mom. By the time she has ‘time’ to call me things already happen. Plus, we weren’t around. Today she finally got a hold of me Ike she hasn’t been working for three weeks, and for her that is like trauma, not this. He is hooked up to and IV and breathing machine in my parents bedroom, since that’s where he wanted to die. My mom says that almost every other night he wakes up and yells my name. When my mom goes running in to see if he’s awake, he would be out again when he saw her,” she cried louder.
He held her tighter rocking her back and forth.
“So now when I go back with Bre at least I will be there for him because my bitch mom HAS to go back to work. She said she, ‘can’t sit with her dying husband because she needs to pay for HIS bills and funeral. I mean she is making me so pissed off, I hate her so much Ike, she has no decency, none at all. So I want to go home and be with him, I love him and he needs love, not some bitch who loves work more than family. I’m just glad your home Ikey,” she said as she stopped crying.
“Lizzy, I lost my grandma years ago. I know what it felt like to loose your grandma, but I can never even think of loosing my dad. I mean I will admit I don’t know what your feeling, it’s very hard for me to help you, but I’m going to, I promise,” he said wiping away her tears. She just smiled. “I’m just so glad your home and I’m not pregnant. As long as your here I’ll be OK for now,” she said grinning.
“Well, if your moods brightening can I ask you to wear something special for me tonight? I know we’re not going out or anything, but can you?” he asked.
“Sure, what?” she asked hoping he wouldn’t say something like, ‘nothing’ as a corny joke.
“I’ll be right back,” he smiled walking to his coat.
“Isaac you have nothing, what do you want me to wear?” she asked as he sat down next to her.
He opened the ring box and exposed the beautiful ring, “Will you wear this for me tonight, and forever?” he asked.
She just smiled as he got down on one knee.
“Elizabeth Leah Burroughs, will you marry me?” he asked smiling.
She began to cry in happiness and shake her head.
“Yes, yes...yes,” she said as her mouth shook from shock, “Yes Isaac, I will marry you!” she yelled.
He took the ring and put it on her shaking hand, and kissed her, only the kiss meant so much more now.
“I love you Lizzy, and I realized that everything I did, thought, and say was about you. You are the only person I care about as much as I do, you are the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with. I want to have my kids with you, grow old with you, I love you,” he smiled, shaking a little himself.
Tears just streamed down Liz’s face as she grabbed him tight. She thought her day was awful and her life was over, but she was just now realizing that her life was just beginning and she was finally given her second chance.
“I love you Ikey, and I am so glad that you did this. I know now that you will be there for me when my dad passes and threw all the good times. And I feel so safe and secire now, I can’t be any happier than I am at this very moment. I love you too,” she smiled calming down a bit.
“Now we have to tell my parents and yours,” he sighed.
“Let’s go tell yours now, get it over with, mine can wait,” she smiled.
“Lizzy wait. I did this now so you can plan the wedding. I mean I don’t want to rush into this and get married tomorrow. I think we should wait a little bit. I just want you to plan it so you can take your mind off everything else. I want you to make this wedding everything you have ever dreamt of. Of course I’ll help because marriage consists of two people, but I want you to have everything you have ever wanted because if your happy then I’m happy,” he smiled.
“Thank you so much Ike, and I agree that we wait a while,” she smiled, “Thank you, I love you so much.”
“Should we go tell my parents?” he asked.
“Yeah lets go.”
“Well...” Elizabeth began, “This,” she smiled holding up her hand in his showing the ring.
Diana gasped and dragged them both into the room closing the door and yelling for Walker.
“What?” he asked.
“Look, look at her hand!” Diana yelled.
Isaac nor Elizabeth knew what to make of the situation, they didn’t know if they were happy or upset. Diana and Walker quickly left into the next room.
“Well what now?” she asked.
“I’m not sure. We can’t say no Diana, they love each other, and Isaac will be an adult soon. I know normally I am the one to object to these things, but I don’t know. I guess I was just waiting for this to happen. Diana, I asked you to marry me when I was Isaac’s age, I can’t tell him no for something we did as well. Plus they love each other, probably more than you and I did at the time. They both have gone threw so much too. I just can’t say no,” he sighed.
“Neither can I. I just don’t want to say yes and let him go either,” she said softly.
“It’s time Diana, we have to do this, we have to let him go out on his own now,” Walker said holding her tight.
They both walked back out and sat near Ike and Liz.
“I will start with this. Is this definitely what you two want? And are you sure?” Walker asked.
“Yes,” they both said strongly.
“Then you have our consent to get married,” Diana smiled with tears in her eyes.
Elizabeth quickly hugged them both.
“I guess your stuck with me for a long time, huh?” she laughed.
“Yeah, but we want to be stuck with you,” Walker smiled.
They all continued to talk about how Liz wasn’t pregnant and how they weren’t getting married for a while. They were all glad that they were catching up with each other and being able to talk for a little while. Finally they went into Tay and I’s room where Zac and Lynn were also. When they told us we were a little surprised at first, but once the shock wore off we couldn’t have been happier.
“Liz congratulations!” I yelled, “You too Ike!”
Zac patted Ike on the back, “You sure?” he asked.
“Deffinately,” Ike smiled.
“Thanks, Tay do you mind if you come with me somewhere?” Ike asked.
“Again?” Tay moaned, “God, Ike I’m not your little wind up monkey toy!”
“Quickly please?” he begged.
“All right,” he said quietly.
He quickly told us that they were going to get some stuff for the sound check tomorrow and Zac was staying behind. We agreed and told them to hurry back as they left the room.
“Let’s go to my room,” Ike said.
“Fine,” Tay moaned.
They went into the room and Isaac shut the door locking it.
“What is this all about, your not going to rape me right?” Tay laughed, trying to lighten the moment.
“I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that,” he moaned as he rummaged through his drawer and pulled out a ripped magazine page.
“Read this,” he said.
Tay took the paper and read it through and then looked back at Ike.
“Yeah so? No offense Ike, but I REALLY DON’T CARE about ‘N Sync info, or the BSB info on the back. Nor do I care that ‘N Sync is playing a concert the same night we are here in London.”
“Tay look and think about this,” Ike said getting angry.
“Umm...OK, well all of the girls like them, especially Lynn. I mean today I get here and Lynn bought their video. She is beginning to scare me, being so much like Bre, except Bre likes the Backstreet Boys, which sickens me, because if it wasn’t for that bastard, dumbass, pansy boy, ass hole Nick Carter then I would have never hurt Bre, but I mean I still can deal with the fact she likes their music, I guess...”Tay rambled on.
“NO TAY! God, SHUT UP!! Read JC’s profile!” he yelled.
“OK, OK. Blue eyes, brown hair,” he skimmed down to the more interesting things, “Father died of Brain Cancer last month, wow that sucks, has 2...”
He was quickly cut off, “That’s it Tay!” Ike butted in, “His father died of the same cancer Liz’s will be dying from just last month.”
“So?” Tay asked blankly not getting a word Ike was saying.
“Tay I can’t help Elizabeth anymore then I have. I lost grandma, not dad, so I don't know what she’s feeling. Worse off, she’s feeling all alone and I can’t be there because I am not feelings what she is. Tay since I can’t help her I have to find someone who can, someone who has felt this and feels what she does,” Ike pointed to the picture of JC, “Him Tay he has and probably still does know what she is going through, he can help her. Tomorrow I want to invite them to the soundcheck. Bre and Lynn can talk to the other guys while JC can talk to Elizabeth. I know it’s a long shot but I have to try, and with your help. If I can’t do this Tay, I’m afraid Liz might not make it for our wedding,” Ike sighed, tears welling in his eyes. Tay just looked at Ike, “Are you serious?”
“Yeah, she needs someone to talk to. And though it hurts me that I have to get someone she likes as a crush to help her, and it might kill me to see them together, I need to help her.”
“So how are we going to get a hold of him?” Tay asked.
“Well lets go down to the front desk and see if we can’t get them to give it to us,” Ike thought aloud.
“I don’t see why not, you sure about this Ike?” Tay asked.
“Yeah let’s go,” Ike urged.
The boys went to the front desk and it was time for Ike to act.
“Yes may I help you?” the lady smiled, she loved her job, getting to talk to stars.
“Would you be able to tell us the hotel and room number JC Chasez from ‘N Sync is staying at? He wanted us to call him about a music convention but I lost his number,” Ike lied.
“Sure, they are staying at the Grand hotel. His room is 617, just call this number and then press in his room number,” she smiled.
Ike scribbled down all the numbers, thanked her and then they ran back up to his room. Tay closed the door and locked it behind them.
“I only got the number, that was the easy part, now I have to call,” Ike sighed picking up the phone. Tay sat near him.
“Hello? Is this Joshua JC Chasez? Hi this is Isaac Hanson, yes it’s really him. Listen I have a favor to ask, and I know we really don’t know each other, but this is kind of important...” Taylor listened as his brother went on and explained the whole situation. Soon he hung up the phone.
“Well?” Tay asked.
“They’ll be there, tell Zac but make sure the girls don’t find out,” he smiled.
“OK, g’night. By the way, Ike, your doing the best thing man. I’m proud of you,” he said as he walked out the door.
“I like a lot of music but at the moment I am practically obsessed with the Backstreet Boys,” the TV blasted Bre’s answer.
“Mom, she was talking about me! Did you see the way she winked, that was for me, I just know it! Do you see her mom, can you hear her? Isn’t she beautiful?” he asked smiling.
Jane wished that Nick would calm down and try to keep a straight head, but it wasn’t working. “Honey, she is very pretty, and I am sure she has a little thing for you, I can tell. She just won’t show it, give her time honey. Let her open up more,” Jane smiled.
God, thank you, thank you so much. Maybe this is a sign, maybe she really does have feelings for me. Please God, I’m begging you. Let this just let there be another sign, or at least let me be happy for this one night, hoping things might turn around to go my way, please,he cried to himself silently and then continued watching.
“OK, boys forgive me for asking the girls this, but we need to know, favorite Backstreet Boy and ‘N Sync member?” the TV once again asked a question Nick was sure to like the answer to.
Nick and Jane made eye contact and then looked intently on the TV screen.
“For the BSB, it would definitely have to be Nick. I have met him and he’s a great guy, really nice, someone you can easily get to know...plus he’s not lacking in the looks department that’s for sure. As for ‘N Sync, I haven’t met them, but I guess Chris, cause’ he seems so out there,” the TV answered his prayers.
Nick’s eyes widened as he heard Bre say what she did. There she was sitting next to her boyfriend, talking about Nick, he couldn’t believe it.
THANK YOU GOD!! I love her, and she just admitted that I was a great, nice someone you can easily get to know and cute! I don’t know what this means, probably nothing and I know I am so over exaggerating this, but I am so happy right now, thank you, yes!he screamed to himself.
I know that voice, I know that look, as a mother I know that shell. She is falling for my son, she just won’t admit it to herself or anyone, I just hope she realizes it as soon as possible. She really is a great girl too,Jane thought to herself smiling.
As it went to commercial break and the girls said good bye Nick turned off the TV and the phone rang.
“Hello, Carter residence?” he answered since it wasn’t his phone.
“Well, well, well, you didn’t know that was coming did you?” Brian laughed.
“Did all you guys see it? Wasn’t it amazing, suddenly I feel so good inside. But I know that she was doing it as a friend, I’m not that lucky,” he sighed.
Brian knew the look, all the guys and Nick’s mom did, they all knew the voice to. But Brian wasn’t going to say anything, none of them were.
“I just wanted to say congrats...I think,” Brian laughed, “You feeling any better?”
“Well after this much, but yes I am feeling better since I am home,” Nick smiled.
“Good well I was just checking up on you Bro, I’ll talk to you tomorrow, OK?” Brian said happily.
“Thanks Rok, talk to you lata, bye,” he said hanging up the phone and then directing his attention back at his mom who was just sitting and smiling widely at him. She was so glad he had just caring friends, bandmates, and, well, brothers.
“Thanks for watching this with me mom, and thanks for listening to me go on and on about her, I just can’t believe she said all that good stuff about me. I just hope I’m not over doing this, just I love her so much mom, I just want her to love me back,” he sighed.
“I know you do sweetie, just give it time, goodnight,” she smiled kissing him and going to her bedroom.
“Night mom,” he smiled.
She wouldn’t tell him what she thought, not yet...he had to find out on his own. True love is painful, and he had to learn to deal with that pain...so he could have REAL true love. They both would.
